Business & then pleasure
I will be going to Mountain View, California in the middle of June with my spouse who will be working for a week before we can begin to tour the area. We will be accompanied by a 6 month old baby who will curtail our activities no doubt, but I would like suggestions as to what might be possible for a 10 day visit of the area.
Ideally, I would like to be able to do Santa Clara, Highway 1, San Francisco, Redwoods, Yosemite, and anything else that is possible.
Please advise as to how long the SF visit should be, which segments should include a rental car, what short hikes you would recommend with a child carrier and any other suggestions you might have.
I would appreciate detailed suggestions if you can. Also, for that first week on my own, is there anything of interest around Mountain View. Thanks much.

Downtown Palo Alto and the Stanford campus would both be nice for you when you are sans-spouse. Stanford Shopping Center is one of the nicest anywhere - still unenclosed. Also, if you’re up for a walk uphill pushing a stroller, walk up to “the Dish” - I’ve done it with a friend who was pushing a stroller, so I know it’s doable.
Is is there any particular reason you mentioned Santa Clara? It’s really just a suburb that has three major venues - Levi’s Stadium, the Santa Clara University campus, and Great A Erica (amusement park).
