Sue, Visit www.denali.national-park.com and www.nps.gov/dena for all the information you need on the buses - schedules and prices. Yes, you better make reservations. Try and get on the first bus of the day. You'll have a better chance of seeing wildlife.

Hi Sue. My husband and I were in Alaska last June. In our opinion, you will be making a big mistake if you do not go all the way to Denali. Talkeetna is a neat little town, but you cannot see all of Mt. McKinley from there. We had a fantastic bus ride through Denali and saw bears, moose, a red fox, deer, and many other animals at a close range. We also were there on a good day and were able to see the entire mountain. It was breath-taking to say the least. Hope you have a good time!

Hi Sue, We've decided not to go that far either. We're taking a flight-tour of Mt. McKinley out of Talkeetna. Taking a chance, though. Heard that the plane cost might not be worth it if it's a cloudy day and you can't see the mountain.

HI DINAH--THE REASON WE CHOSE NOT TO GO
IS A TIME ELEMENT. SEE 1 BEAR/MOOSE/ETC
SEE THEM ALL, THE SAME FOR MT MCKINLEY.
WHAT IF ITS FOGGY?
HI LINDA--JUST GONNA STAY IN TALKEENTA
AND HAVE FUN THERE. MY PARENTS (78-82)
WILL BE WITH US, SO THIS IS AS FAR AS THE ADVENTURE WILL GO. I'VE HEARD THE
SAME ABOUT THE MT. & FOG-SO GOOD LUCK, HOPE U GET TO SEE IT. HAVE FUN. SUE
