Buena Vista, good or bad?

Hello;

My family is trying to decide whether or not to stay in Buena Vista for a couple of days en route to elsewhere.

What do you think? Other suggestions in the area? Lodging suggestions?

We will be visiting early June and are wondering just how cold it might be.

Thanks in advance;
t

Need more detail. Buena Vista, Colorado? Lake Buena Vista, Florida?

IMHO, the town isn't much to look at, but it's in a great location for a lot of great outdoor activities (hiking, rafting, camping, fishing, etc.), if that's your interest. The snow in Colorado has been relatively light this year, so you may be able to do more hiking, camping and exploring earlier than most years.
If your family is more into in-town sightseeing, restaurants, shopping, etc. I'd suggest elsewhere - maybe Vail, Aspen, or Summit County - someplace like that.

It will probably still be chilly at night in early June (30's-40's), but the days should be very nice (60's and 70's).

Where are you headed? You might want to spend the extra time there.

Buena Vista (pronounced bee-une-a) will be warm in June, since South Park is the banana belt of this part of Colorado. I wouldn't stay for more than a night, unless you plan on doing a lot of rafting. There's not much there, although it is awesomely beautiful.
