have a great trip! Mendocino is wonderful. If u get a chance and feel like check out the Mendocino Coast botanical gardens http://www.gardenbythesea.org/index....ID/6/index.htm
I've been to Mendocino many times, but just went to the gardens on our last visit and they r really beautiful. A bit of walking though so u will need to feel up for it.

Little River Inn is really nice with great views of the coast, assuming u can manage to escape the fog which I actually enjoy watching roll in and out.

Thanks for that. We will definitely do that. I'm a gardener and we visit the Botanical Gardens everywhere we go (check out the ones in the Chicago suburbs and Montreal to see my favorites). This gives us yet more to look forward to in Mendocino.

Con_brio - I have nothing to contribute since I've never been to Mendocino - but I just wanted to say that you are a true inspiration and my hero. You've made me realize that life should be treated as a gift!

Viva la Bucket List!

To answer your first post, Cafe Beaujolais is very good, so do have a meal there. I actually ate lunch there every day for five days last year!
Mendo is my favorite place, and I'm sure it will become one of yours. Let us know what you think.

tnnislvr1, thanks for the boost. I agree that life should be treated as a gift-- in support groups we hear that a lot "and that's why they call it the present." May be corny, but I believe it.

Nancy, I'm glad CB is good. We have reservations there the first night. I will post a trip report when I'm back.

Any other restaurant recommendations?

Hi again Ellen,

Check out the Mendocino Bakery. Yummy deep dish pizza, salads, baked goods and "Cowboy Cookies" for which they are rightly famous. All their food is locally sourced and they also have a great coffee and tea selection.

And I can't recommend the Albion River Inn enough - just the best IMO and only a few miles down the road from the Little River Inn.

Best,
Lisa
