If you go to tdf.org you can see what has been offered for discount tickets
there are 3 ticket booths one in the theater district, one near south street downtown and one in Brooklyn
lines vary at each one, and the ones downtown and in Brooklyn offer tickets a day in advance for matinees.

newsies, kinky boots, cripple of innishman were all offered recently . in addition to the ticket booths you can print out the discount offers that may be available in july from the sites such as playbill.com broadwaybox.com etc and bring it to the theater..you can buy in advance if you like and sometimes the offers are as good as tkts ...

if you come to ny often enough consider joining tdf.. your hs kids are eligible and you only need one membership to buy tickets ...
