Broadway show - Next Fall

Hi. Does any one know why the play Next Fall is closing/has closed? I recently booked tickets for September but received an email telling me that the show was closing 4th July. I'm disappointed as it sounded quite good. Not a need to know but just curious.

Wasn't selling enough tickets is the usual reason. http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/06/23/ne...adway-grosses/

It was a great play, but it just didn't sell to a large enough audience. The closing is sad. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks all. I was just surprised it closed so quickly after the Tony's. Thought that the exposure may have boosted ticket sales. I bought the tickets on line through Telecharge and one thing I must say is that my refund came through very quickly without any problems at all.

Non-musicals without any name performers are a very, very tough sell on Broadway. Next Fall is a prime example of that. It failed to draw even with a highly favorable review from the NY Times.
Glad to hear that your refund came so fast. People are usually very quick to condemn Telecharge and Ticketmaster, so it's good to read a positive comment about one of them.
