Jersey Boys is great. And it really happened. I second Lion King. A classic.

I have seen Jersey Boys and really enjoyed it - I would not take my 14 year old to see it though.

We recently were in NYC and saw Lion King - I was pleasantly surprised - it was wonderful. If you can get seats in the Orchestra section on the aisle do so - We saw Lion King YEARS ago in LA and I was underwhelmed - I believe it has been revamped ? It was spectacular.

Be sure to bring a black sharpie and get a playbill and after the shows wait by the stage door - it is one of my teens favorite things to do in NYC after the plays - the casts is generally so welcoming to photos and autographs.

Re seating for Lion King:I've seen it several times and had seats in the balcony. Personally, I believe you get a better look at everything that's happening-a better perspective- from on high.

Off Brodway? Million Dollar Quartet (lots of music)
Stomp (lots of dancing; East Village; lots and lots of restaurants)
Agree with Momma Mia (Broadway) and think you'll love Wicked.
Check travelzoo.com for NYC hotel deals and tickets (entertainment tab). Also, NYC has the TKTS booths; same day half price tickets. Have a good time.
