The Xmas Spectacular has multiple shows/day & you can always find discounted tix whether @ TKTS booth or with a discount code. It's also the kind of show/theater where you don't have to fuss about seat location.

Thank you Bowspirit.
____

If you get up REALLY early, you can go see them being walked on the streets - and see them poop and pee for free

While rehearsals can be interesting it is the difference between being seen by a few people and 2,500.

MomDD, I'm sure you are - but make sure you are checking out the discount codes at www.broadwaybox.com. Check out the box on the left side for discount codes. You can follow the links to either Ticketmaster or TeleCharge to actually buy the tickets.

Starrs- no - so thank you! I was able to use my amex for discounted tickets to both Mary Poppins and Lion King for Lion King I wanted to sit on the aisle as I remember when I saw it WAY back when it first came out - they walked down the aisles Hope they still do. It was cool.

I will still try to do a day show of the Rockettes. <sp> Just have to check on the $$

Did you sign up for their newsletter? They really do offer unexpected discounts on certain shows during the season.

When I last saw the LK, they walked down the aisles too.

I just looked at Broadway Box. 25% off certain shows of RC Christmas Spectacular

Not sure if she'd be interested in Love, Loss and What I Wore (off-Broadway) but check the cast for the week that you'll be there. It may include someone she'd really like to see. Melissa Joan Hart was one of the 5 actresses when I saw it. A low-key production but funny. Not a typical show for a 14yo but all age ranges were there and enjoyed it. One of my favorite restaurants is around the corner too.

Not sure on when you are going, but through Dec. 4th = 2 actresses from Gossip Girl and Eve Plumb (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!)

Discounted tix on BB ^

My friend and her college age sons lucked into (and paid handsomely) some good seats for both "How To Succeed" (Daniel R) and "Book of Mormon." They loved "How To" a lot more. The boys thought "Book" was too raunchy.

stokebailey: Then they probably wouldn't have enjoyed Avenue Q either. Is it still running off-Broadway?

I am flying in LGA on Tuesday, December 13 - I need to get to West 40th Street New York, New York 10018 - what is the easiest way? I am open to subway/public transportation.

Public transportation from LGA is limited and rarely direct. Take a cab and ask the cabbie if he knows the back way to the 59th Street Bridge.

cab
Just get in the taxi line. It will move quickly.
Don't take offered rides from anyone else - just go to the taxi line out front.

Mom, I can't believe we will be there a week apart! If I had only know!

We are seeing Book of Mormon on Dec. 8, but are trying to squeeze in one more show on the 9th. I really want to see War Horse, and would pay full price but she really wants a musical.

I cannot believe it Cat ((

We ended up (not sure if I shared up thread?) with Mary Poppins and Lion King. Tuesday and Wed. Thursday the museum and I believe we might head out to Melville on Thursday evening instead of Friday morning - I have some friends in Long Island I would like to see Friday before dh's company deal.

We get in late on Wed. night, will have all day Thursday and Friday, then home on Saturday. Really quick trip for us.

I was thinking Anything Goes but now I'm thinking Bonnie & Clyde. It's cheaper, for one thing.
