Broadway.com

Has anyone used broadway.com to purchase theater tickets in New York? Were you satisfied? Thanks.

Why use broadway.com? I just checked for Cabaret tickets. At broadway.com they're $130, whereas direct from Telecharge they're only $96. Same for Boy From Oz. Broadway.com $200, Telecharge $101.25.

The best way to get tickets online would be either through telecharge.com or playbill.com. Check out those sites.

They had Hairspray tickets for $100 each - other sites I found were either sold out or much more expensive. I will check out these other sites.

The question is: Where in the theater were those $100 seats for Hairspray?

I don't know where the seats are which I know can be a problem. I think when you call they will tell you where the seats are before you buy them. It looks like the Neil Simon theater is not that big. Are there many seats that are not good? The face value of the tickets are between $65-100.
Thanks everyone!

I saw Hairspray a few months ago and sat in the balcony. The theater is not that big, so I think anywhere you sit will be ok. I LOVED this show and highly recommend it to everyone. It's fun, the music is fantastic, and you'll just want to dance and sing along!

I got my tickets through applausetickets.com b/c that was the only way I could find seat for the dates I'd be in town. Other sites were sold out for many months in advance.

The point of my question is: Are they asking $100 for a $65 seat?

Okay, called this morning. The catch was there are only single seats. Don't want to pay big bucks for tickets since they go on sale this week in Chicago. Think we will try to get tickets to see Producers instead. Is this a good show? I have already seen Lion King, Mamma Mia, Rent, Chicago, 42nd Street.

We saw the road show version of The producers in Boston, and, yes, it's a great show. Terrific songs, spectacular production numbers, and very funny. We enjoyed it a lot.

We saw The Producers this past weekend and really enjoyed it. I was thinking of Hairspray also, but The Producers was a shorter walk from the hotel.
