"Dividing the Estate" has just started previews, but I think it will be very good. People love "In the Heights" which won for best new musical last year. "Pal Joey" will have a limited run, a musical classic. Billy Elliot has been a big hit in London and is in previews here.

We were in New York last weekend, saw South Pacific and Gypsy. I was on a multi-generational jaunt, ages 9 through 69 and we ALL loved the shows. My mom remembered them in their original runs, our kids have seen the movie versions, and my sister and I and grew up with these records on the "stero." Hooray for the revival of the musical!

On a side note, after getting out of Gypsy last Saturday, there was police tape on both sides of 44th Street, mounted policemen and women, all to corral the crowd of people waiting to see Daniel Radclife (Harry Potter) leave the theatre across the street where he's just opened in Equus. It was a little surreal!

If you can get tickets, Billy Elliot should be on your list. It's new (still in previews) but received raves in London.
