Yes, the British Invasion is an annual event in Stowe every September. Since I live in Stowe, I have seen it grow every year. It draws an enthusiastic crowd of British sportscar fans. Plus Stowe has a Village Party for the locals and tourists - the cars line up the street and Beatles music is played. Great Event! Here's a youtube slide show I did of the 2011 event. Looks like the embed code won't work, so here's the link: http://youtu.be/PbH1_8ENLlQ

I'm sold. Your slideshow is great, Teresa. Looks like a lot of fun, and lots go great cars. I checked on some hotels and they are already sold out that weekend. Do you have any lodging suggestions? Doesn't have to be Stowe; could be a nearby town. Open to inns, b and b's, hotels - just no dinky motels.

Dear orangetravelcat - You should stay at Ye Olde England Inne - They started this event and it's where most of the enthusiasts stay. I just called them and they have rooms available. The British Car Invasion is scheduled for 9/14/12 and 9/15/12 - next year. Their number is (802) 253-7558. I am glad you liked the slideshow. I enjoyed attending and putting the pics together!

the invasion is a nice show but the judging sucks.
cars that should have won don't because they don't belong to the right car club. point of fact yopu're to have a fire extinguisher but not all cars have them.
as for the tutor inn it's also over rated and over priced.if you want to hang with the upper crust then it's the place to be. i like the commadore inn.
the best part of the whole weekend is the show downtown where there is no judging and you get up front with the people that wish they had a british car.
we'll be there this year again only to meet once again the friends we made there over the last 4 years.
