We were coming back from Mexico some years back, and declared our extra tequila bottles on the form WhereAreWe linked. We were also carrying a smallish clay bowl decorated with Mayan Chac figures.
The agent asked us if we had anything to declare and my wife said, straight faced, "Just some booze and a little pot".
Without changing his expression in the least, the agent just waved us through.
Not sure that would be a good idea these days!
