Brewers game- Milwaukee hotel and pre-game meal

Any recommendations for a hotel in Milwaukee convenient to the Stadium and a pre-game meal?

Are you coming to Milwaukee from which direction? Are you driving?

What kind of food are you looking for?

Sorry for the questions but I could give you a better answer if I knew what area you would be coming from and what kind of restaurant you would like.

We'll be driving in from Chicago. Nothing fancy- we'll be traveling with kids. Maybe a brat or casual food.

If all you want is something like a brat, jusk eat at Miller Park. Saz's is close and popular for BBQ.

The closest hotel to the stadium is the BW Woodsview, near the VA Hospital, but it's kind of dumpy. The next closest is the Ambassador--restored beautifully to its Art Deco glory.

If memory serves, there isn't much around Miller Park, which is outside the city center. I'd just eat there, myself.

Food was good at Miller Park. Could also bring your own food and tailgate in the Parking Lot.

Hi,
As Abram said above the Woodsview is the closest to Miller Park, but it is a dump. The next closest is the Ambassador which was remodeled and looks beautiful, but it is in an undesirable location. The area of Milwaukee where the Ambassador is located has a very high crime rate. During the day the area isn't bad, but I would not be in that area at night. There are a few hotels on S 108th street which is about 4 miles west of Miller Park and that is a much safer area.
