we have a party of 5 spending a week boarding in Brekenridge from jan 21 to 26, and were trying to find some accomodation. we really would like ski in ski out but never having been there before i dont know what locations offer this? is there an area of town that we should start looking at?

thanks heaps.

My suggestion is to check out VRBO.com. (vacation rentals by owner). We've used this site for ski trips, summer trips, european vacations, etc. and have never had a problem. The propery descriptions are usually helpful in determining the location of the place you're inquiring about and some even have a link to a town map. Also, you can email the owners directly for additional information. And if not, they have a good bus system that makes several stops throughout the town (and you can save a few bucks by renting away from the slopes). I'd pull up a Breckenridge website to help you figure out the layout before booking anything. Have a good trip.

True ski in/out locations are a little hard to come by because almost all of the housing is located along the base of the mountains and not on the slope that is more common in some of the new ski areas.. But there are a lot of ski IN places located along 4 o'clock run which is convenient. You can ski on down and a bus will take you to a base area. Anything along Snowflake lift/run with give you better in/out. In addition Breckenridge has an excellent bus system so as long as you are within a block or so of the bus routes you will be OK.

Beaver Run and Peak 9 base will provide the most POTENTIAL for ski in/out and ski out locations -- but not all properties in these areas. Ask the property they will be truthfully.

Good luck.

Our family stayed in Beaver Run last winter. Was ski-in/out to the chairlift area. It was really convenient and we loved Beaver Run.
