Breakfast Briefing at hotels - is it timeshare?

I've seen several package deals on the internet that say a "breakfast briefing" is included in the deal. Is that by any chance code for it's really a timeshare pitch? I know that the hotels in Cancun are infamous for inviting you to a "breakfast" that is just a timeshare pitch. Thanks.

I have used package deals to go to Hawaii and the "breakfast briefing" was a breakfast where they sold tours, luaus, etc.

Thanks the for info. I guess that's not as bad as a timeshare presentation!

A breakfast briefing is a casual breakfast, where one is allowed to just wear briefs instead of boxers and/or other clothing.

The ones I've been to have always been a way to sell tours etc to new visitors. If you're not interested in tours or timeshare I'd steer clear. It's not worth your time for a donut and coffee.

Breakfast briefings have onky one purpose - to sell you somehting. As an Hawaii "regular" I like to lurk around the breakfast briefings and listen to all the crap they are telling the newcomers. If you go to a breakfast briefing don't buy ANYTHING until you have checked elsewhere.
