For future reference, I happened upon accessibility information for NYC theaters today.

https://www.tdf.org/showfinder

Click on any of the shows and the page that comes up has very detailed information - width of doors, number of steps, grab bars in restroom, etc.

"...basically no elevators for the subway, so I don't think it would be a great idea either."

True.
When we had an earlier conversation (before this thread), I suggested that the bus would be a better option in NYC than the subway for this reason.

JTG - Would you consider taking a friend with you? Although solo travel is great, having someone along can be really helpful. They could help read maps, you could bounce ideas off each other, etc.

Just a thought.

I apologize for not giving any updates, I've been ill for some time now and haven't wanted to do anything but lie in bed all day lol.

I've run into troubles with my leg braces, and I've developed more ulcers on the bottoms of my feet...

With my medical condition, I have very poor circulation, so it will be some time before I can get these under control like they were before.

This has been a very disappointing setback, and I probably won't be back for a while... I'd just like to thank everyone again for their helpful comments and advice for this wannabe traveler!

Well that's not fun!

Hope you feel better soon! Take your time to heal and travel time will come at the right time.

Wishing you well. Planning is still a lot of fun. I often take healing time to do major reading and planning. Take care.
