Boulder Mountain Lodge- Utah

Has anyone stayed at Boulder Mountain Lodge in Boulder, Utah? Thinking of making a reservation, but would appreciate someone's experience.

We haven't stayed at the Boulder Mountain Lodge but ate at the Hell's Backbone Grill when we stayed at a motel up the road from BML. We looked around the place a bit and it seemed very nice. We are returning to Utah this Sept. and have already booked two nights at the BML. We could have stayed just one night but wanted to have the chance at two meals at the HBG....the have some of the most amazing food I've enjoyed anywhere. An interesting find considering that you're back of beyond.

Considering that there aren't too many places to stay in Boulder, I'd suggest reservations if your there during vacation season.

Here's some more info on the place:

And here's some on the Hell's Backbone Grill:

We stayed there for 2 nights in Aug. 2002 because of the great reviews it got in Frommer Budget Travel Magazine..it is a beautiful lodge in a very private location on the edge of a bird sanctuary. We got a room on the 2nd level that was overlooking the pond and had a huge deck...Our room was very large, super clean, very comfortable, and decorated quite simple, but lovely. A very nice place to take a break from all the riding, before we continued onto the 2nd leg of our trip. May cost a tad more than your run of the mill motels, but we really wanted to stay at places that were super nice to make the trip more memorable. The restaurant just recently got rave reviews for the new owners and food! A place we could easily return too!!
