Boston or Vermont lodging for 1 night in Oct?
Hi all, my friend and I are attending a wedding in Vermont on Oct. 7. We are flying into Boston on the evening of Oct. 5 and renting a car. We have places to stay the other nights, but need ideas for where to stay on Oct. 5 (we don't mind driving an hour or two out of Boston).
Can anyone recommend a place, more like B&B style, in northern Massachusetts or southern Vermont? I had thought about Manchester VT, but because of the foliage (and our last-minute planning) I'm not sure if any of the more quaint lodgings will be open.

Two different worlds .. I live in Boston and go to Manchester VT often .. Lots of quaint B&B's in VT .. lots of shopping and outlets .. beautiful in October .. not sure what is going on right now for night life .. you might to contact the Chamber in Manchester .. Boston much different experience than Manchester VT .. Boston is alive with shopping .. restaurants .. night life .. the South End of Boston has tons of places .. I guess I would say Boston has it all .. and Manchester also has lots to offer .. difference pace .. not sure budget wise if you will be able to get a hotel in Boston for $200 or less .. you might want to try a suburb if you decide on Boston .. I wouldn't wait to book a hotel or B&B .. it is busy this time of year .. !
