Boston North End

Hi all,

Any ideas on where to stay in the North End (Italian neighborhood) of Boston for 5 nights. I'm looking for a small hotel (not more than 30 rooms) or a B&B, cozy and relatively inexpensive, i.e., not over $150 a night. Any ideas.? Coocoo.

I don't ever remember seeing a hotel in the North End, and I lived four blocks away for ten years. Marriott Long Wharf is the closest big hotel, and there are some smaller ones downtown and near North Station.

Not sure there are any hotels that are truly in the North End but there are several that are within walking distances such at the Marriott Long Wharf, the Residence Inn in Charlestown, and the Millenium Bostonian.

There might be one B&B in the North End (I think I remember hearing something) but that would be it. In additional to some of the hotels mentioned already, the Onyx Hotel is also very close.

There is one B & B I know of in the North end, it is called La Cappella Suites - I don't know of anyone who has stayed there however - my cousin was going to stay ther eonce but ended up in teh Marriott instead b/c she chose to use points, but you could check it out online or on another web page that has lodging reviews perhaps -

There is a Holiday Inn on Cambridge Street in Boston, about a 15 minute walk to the North End and a 2 minute walk to Beacon Hill.
