Borrego Springs and Anza-Borrego State Park, info please
Prior to a conference in San Diego, we will have one night and two full days for "fun." We are thinking about spending that time at Anza-Borrego State Park and staying the night in Borrego Springs. Kindly suggest activities for us. We enjoy moderate hiking, natural beauty, quiet and Big Horn Sheep.
We will have a rental car, but not for off-road exploration.
Thanks

If you aren't there in the midst of summer, check out the hike in Palm Canyon. Beautifull oasis at the end perfect for a dip to cool off. La Casa Del Zorro is a wonderful hotel also with a nice restaurant. They have fun Jazz weekends planned occassionally

The high temperature in Borrego Springs today will be around 96F, with a low of 59F. By the end of May, the daytime high could esily be over 100F. If this would be too hot for you, I suggest that you consider staying overnight in Julian, which is high in the mountains, therefore cooler. There are all kinds of hiking trails and picnic areas quite close to town.
