Bore wave, Anchorage Alaska. Help

where can I find out the time of the Bore wave for May 27, 2008. Also where is the best place to see it Turnagain Arm or someplace else. We missed it the first time we were there and would really love to see it this time.
Thank you for any advice you can give.

You need a BIG negative tide, and keep in mind the add on time depending on where you are on the Arm. Otherwise skip it. I've seen it a couple times, not sure what all the excitment is about. OK in my opinion, but if you are short on time and have other interests, it can definately be skipped. Essentially a wall of water.

Listen to BQ on this one. Unless it is something you are just fascinated with. It is generally nothing more than a big ripple/small wave in the water. While it can be huge, I think you odds of seeing a big one are small. We did not see anyone with surfboards attempting to ride it. Your timing would be critical as well.

Really a hit or miss thing. I have seen folks kayaking it and other times as it has been described - a short wall of water.
You have to be right on top of it and planted where you want to be because it is over, from where you are standing there watching it, in a minute or less.
Minus tide is the key and you need a big minus coupled with a big flood.
