Blue Mountain or Seagrove, how do they compare?
Hi all, I've found some great lodging options in both locations. Most of the ones on our short list are in Seagrove, but one really spacious/kid-friendly condo is in BMB. Just wondering if the two areas are comparable or does one seem "better" than the other. By better, I mean cleanliness, low beach traffic/crowds, public access points with restrooms/showers, etc. Appreciate any feedback on these two locales. Thanks in advance! cdg

We stayed in Blue Mountain Beach last February at the Adagio. Your children would love the pool there. It is in a quieter area.
Right now we are staying in Seagrove Beach. We have been walking down the beach to Seaside. We can walk to several restaurants. I prefer the Seagrove Beach location.
I also like the Seacrest/Rosemary Beach area but it is farther from the golf courses my husband plays.
I think you would be happy at either condo--same beautiful beach.

We loved staying at Seacrest Beach and your kids would especially enjoy the amazing pool in May. It was an easy walk to the small collection of shops at Seacrest Beach and then more at Rosemary Beach. I highly recommend that area.
I'm not that familiar with Blue Mountain. We stopped at the little High Point shopping center and bought good stuff from the bakery there and there's a bike rental place and a health food market. I'm not sure how close that is to your rental.
The beach will be equally gorgeous at either place. Beach access depends on your rental (at Seacrest you walk across 30a to public access points). I don't think you'll find public access points with restrooms/showers/etc. at either location. Wish I could help more.

Thanks LindainOhio and Starrs! Your perspective is helpful. I'm more drawn to Seagrove Beach because of great things I've heard from friends who've visited that stretch of the Emerald Coast. BMB seems like a great option, too. Decisions, decisions...
