Anyone know some really strange festivals around the world? Something that would merit a specific visit, even for a day? Please help.

I hear that somewhere in Spain, there is a festival where they throw tomatoes at each other

Try the "National Frisbee Dog Championships" in Washington, D.C. in September (?). Trained dogs catch frisbees and perform other tricks. There is also the Annual (?) Whammo Frisbee festival in July or August, in which people proficient in frisbee throwing come out on the mall and give lessons and do tricks.

My favorite odd one is the Monterrey Squidfest in Monterrey, California. Says it all, don't it?
