Biosphere 2 Center

Has anyone here visited the biosphere outside of Tuscon, didn't see any mention of it anywhere? If so is it worth a side trip on our way to spend 3 nights in Phoenix?
Thanks

I asked my husband, he went and he said, "it was interesting but it was a lot of money for research that could have been obtained for a lot less money."

Basically he thought it was "okay" You can't get in because, of course, it's a sealed enviroment and you spend your time there on the outside looking in. (from mr lsky)

If your driving north of Phoenix, maybe you would like to stop at Arcosanti. I just happened to be looking at the website this morning. We passed an enjoyable morning there. http://www.arcosanti.org

We thought Biosphere 2 was pretty much a waste of time and money.

However, there are three really great things to do in Tucson: Drive up Mt. Lemmon, hike or take the tram tour in Sabino Canyon, and visit the Desert Museum (most of which is outdoors).

HTTY, you're certainly right about recommending those things Plus, the art museum at the University is small but very interesting.

I love visiting Tucson.
