Big Sur in March

Kevin, sorry to tell you this but March is our "transition month" in northern California. The temps should be fine, but the chance of rain still exists. In good weather Big Sur is fabulous, in rain or fog, you don't want to go there. SF will always be good because you can get in out of the rain. That said, maybe this year will be perfectly dry and all the rain will be over. Sorry this is such a "non-answer."

Brr. Ditto what kam said, often foggy, sometimes rainy, somtimes clear blue sky.
That said, it can be a romantic place in a mysterious way, with the swirling fog and all. The fog can make it very conducive to -uhhm- inside activities.
I'm not huge fan of Nepenthe, while it does have a fabulous view (when not foggy), I think I'd just have drinks there.
