Sheryl is the moderator/administrator of biddingfortravel.com, and she was absent for about 2mo.
I'm glad to hear that she's back, as I love bft - it's a great forum for getting and sharing info about bidding on priceline. I've saved more $ using bft over the last few years than ebay, amazon, and froogle combined.

I would if I could, but the Bidding For Travel screen will not appear on my computer. Somehow, it knows my computer and won't even let me on the site, let alone post a message or ask Sheryl directly what agrievous error I made to get me banned.

It is difficult to ban anyone from simply viewing a website. The only way to ban someone is to ban their IP address. If you view at home, you may not have a static IP address (meaning it changes every day or so) so there is no other way to ban you from viewing. And those of us who view on laptops out at coffee shops and such have different IP addresses all the time. (If I'm viewing at Starbucks and some website tried to ban me, they'd be banning THOUSANDS of people who have the same public IP address). It simply doesn't make sense for a website to try to ban anyone, because it won't work much of the time.
I suspect there's some other reason you can't view BFT, gojays_1. How clearing the cache on your web browser? Or trying a different web browser like Firefox and see if you can view the site that way.

Sheryl is the travel world's equivalent of Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi." Follow the required procedures precisely, and you wil be richly rewarded. But if you violate the written policies, or even some vague, apparently unwritten ones, you are banished without explanation or hope of reinstatement. Neither Sheryl nor the soup guy care about the loss of patronage, they don't seem to need it, they'd rather run a very tight ship. Next!

Hi Andrew,
Yes I view the page from home. I guess it knows my IP address and will not allow me to access the page. Even when I type in the website directly, it still knows it's my computer and will not let me view it. I'm not exactly sure how to erase my 'cache' list . I'm not very computer savvy.
To Anonymous, you are right. They are like Soup Nazis over there. Once I posted a question on the wrong board and was told by Sheryl where I'm supposed to type questions. But this is taking things a bit far! I'm not sure what I did this time. No explanation. I should have just read the posts and not bother posting.
