I'd pick the Mandalay Bay, but keep in mind that ALL of them close at 6:00pm, which is rather ridiculous.

The Rio also has a great pool - it's set up like a caribbean resort, with a waterfall, separate children's area, lots of vegetation and plenty of place.

Interestingly, the Los Angeles times just did a huge article that rated all of the Vegas pools. They rated based upon, crowds, water temp, theme, cleanliness, overall appearence, and a host of other factors, I think they did all the pools on the strip.

If you have trouble with the link below, just go to www.latimes.com go to TRAVEL then go to LAS VEGAS
it's the first article on the link.
Have fun.

Venetian and MGM don't belong in the same class as MB and Mirage.
MB is the most elaborate and largest pool area.
Mirage is very nice also, smaller.
Both get very crowded when warm.

I personally liked the Bellagio pool area much better than Mandalay. A lot more relaxing and a ton of ambience and class. There are a bunch of different types of pool to sit by- ones with fountains in the middle, alcoves with hot tubs, etc.

But Stan didn't ask about Belllagio.
He has a limited list of 4 places.

Not necessarily in order of preference but here goesBR>1) Mandalay Bay - Beautiful, but take into account that not necessarily nr the middle of the strip ( I would certainly stay here if I went back)
2) Mirage - lovely Pool's. Excellent location
3)Flamingo - Not necessarily a first class hotel, but a real home from home atmosphere
4) Caesars and the Bellagio

Just back from Bellagio. The pool is second to none.

Although I think the Venetian is one of the best hotels in Vegas, I did not care for their pool area. They are on the roof top, and the area is very plain. Nothing great to look at. But I would go back there because I loved the hotel so much.

I like the pool at the Gold Spike. It's full of broken glass and rusted car parts, giving it a feeling of authenticity that makes you thankful you're alive.

Looking only at pools, (based on everything I've hear/read) I would probably say Mandalay Bay. Then: Mirage, MGM and Venetian. Remember that at peak summer times, Mandalay's pool are packed. We stayed at Venetian and loved the pools because it was quiet, and you could get a chair. We went to the Dolphin encounter at Mirage, and had to go thru the queue line at the pool area. It was soooo humid, and there were no chairs anywhere....Packed!! Now, we went in June, so take into consideration when you are going.

My husband and I have stayed at a few and find Mandalay Bay to be the best. Run and hide from the MGM. Flamingo is Ok but not even close to the Mandalay Bay. The Paris wasent bad (I know not one of the choices. We just walked around the Bellagio and it was like a dream. Especially if your not into getting splashed by kids. Tresure Island was a disaster, way too many kids. I would assume Mirage would be the same. If you do pick Mandalay Bay be sure to spend a day in the Spa. Words cannot describe.

The best pool system in Las Vegas for ADULTS is the Bellagio by a long shot.

Mandalay Bay if you have kids in tow.
