What is the best time of year to visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg (when is it less crowded) ? Spring or Fall? Any particular month?

Spring. Fall can still get hot.

Late May or early June (before school lets out). Fall is good after Labor Day.

Busch Gardens is not open daily in Spring or Fall. In Sept/Oct and Mar/May it is only open weekends (except over Easter)

So unless you are going on a weekend go in June.

Fall is a beautiful time to visit but if Halloscream has started at BG it will be as crowded as the summertime. Sundays are usually less crowded. If you can time it so that it rained in the morning and then cleared up the park will be empty. Have fun!

BG Wmbsg is open on Fridays, maybe Thursdays too, beginning in spring before the full summer schedule. I would definitely try to come on a weekday, many locals have season passes and come on weekends adding to crowds. Also the park is beautifully landscaped, the planners kept much of the natural woodland, and in spring everything is blooming. PS If you have allergies pack the allergy meds! Pollen will abound!

Busch Gardens is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning in late March until mid May when it opens 7 days a week. (Also open full time during spring break week in April). Same F/S/Sun schedule applies in September and October.
