Best pool in Vegas

My husband and I are thinking of going to Las Vegas for our anniversary in August and would like to spend some time relaxing by the pool. Which hotel has the best (atmosphere, space, service) pool? We stayed at the Monte Carlo once and it was so crowded...most chairs were not even near the pool...just on concrete in the corner. Any insight appreciated.

This is a no-brainer. Four Seasons.

If you stay at the Four Seasons (top of Mandalay Bay) you get the use of the MB pool AND the FS pool areas.

MB is excellent for big, tropical feel, lazy river, beach with waves, etc. FS is good because it is fairly small and very exclusive with no crowds. Also, they come around with Evian water spritz, orange slices, cucumber slices, ice cold wash cloths, etc. We stayed there last July for a night and we were amazed at the service they provide around the pool area. At one point, we ordered drinks from our cabana and then went to the hottub. A couple of minutes later, the pool girl showed up with a cocktail waiter in tow to ask us if we wanted our drinks there or waiting for us at our cabana. Amazing!

And the cabanas are not extra. First come first serve complete with curtains you can draw for privacy, two lounges, table, outlet (for laptop I guess), casablanca fan and a phone. Get there early to get one.

The rooms are pretty nice although not really any better than MB unless perhaps if you are paying full, full price. I imagine with a full price room you would get more "things" than we had at $139 per night. But hey, I can do without the robe for that price!

The pool alone makes FS worth extra. And, like I said, you can go over to the MB side any time you want and then come back to the relaxed tranquility of the FS when you get tired of it.

I can't recommend it highly enough.

It was one of those "flukes" that only happens once a year or so.

It was last year and about a week or so before 4th of July. We had absolutely no plans but were thinking of going to Vegas for a day. We live in So. Cal. so it's an easy drive for an overnight.

My husband went to vegashoteldeals.com and started looking for rooms for the night of July 3rd. When he punched in Paris, they were full but it listed some other choices, one of which was the FS at $139.

We didn't believe it at first. We thought it was one of those names that sounds the same but when you get there it's really 5 miles away and a motel or something. So, I called and drilled the reservation agent for 5 minutes and then booked it. I got the confirmation and it was the FS on the top of MB, no doubt about it.

To this day, it's the best $139 I ever spent. We arrived, checked in, went to the pool and lounged, went to a really nice dinner, gambled and watched the entertainment downstairs in the lounge in MB, went to bed, got up and requested late check out, sat at the pool for awhile, ate breakfast in our cabana, checked out, went to the movies, went to dinner and then drove home. It was great. We watched fireworks exploding while driving down 15 back into California.

I think what happens is that the FS gets very slow for a day or two around the July 4th holiday. If you go to the site I mentioned above they have July 3rd listed for $155 right now. We've been thinking of doing it again but we're not sure we can because my husband's kids will be home from college and we may have to stay home. Last year they were otherwise occupied.

Go for it if you can, it's wonderful.

Try Mandalay Bay. Beautiful pool area.
We stayed at the Aladdin in April and they have 2 nice size pools. Wasn't too crowded. Music and food outdoors near the pool. I would recommend it. We really liked this hotel. We were even upgraded to a Resort room when we arrived. We could even see the Bellagio Fountains from our room. Mandalay Bay's pool area is really nice, they have a wave pool, beach etc.. Please note, you have to be a guest at the hotels to use there pools.

I stayed at the FS for $119...on a weekend no less.
But lynn's right...the rooms are nothing special. I wouldn't pay extra for them. This FS is NOT like most FS hotels elsewhere in the world (due to lower quality rooms and fewer amenities).
MB is my favorite pool in LV.

Wow! $119 a weekend night? When did you go? The Bellagio is really my favorite hotel because the lakeview from the room with the fountains is simply incredible.

Hi Laura,

My fiance and I went to Vegas last year to celebrate my birthday. We caught a good special at the Bellagio, and stayed there for 3 days at about $139/night. It was WELL worth the money. The hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Service is outstanding. The pools are so incredibly beautiful and relaxing -- we cannot wait to go back! It is truly a hotel made for adults. Very few children there...which is part of what made it so wonderful, romantic, and relaxing. They have about 6 different pools all located close together, all with different trees and gorgeous fountains. (you can take your pick out of the pools...if you want one with more or less shade, one with a fountain in the middle, one that has fewer people around it, etc.) Check out their website at www.bellagiolasvegas.com. They usually run specials on their site, hopefully you can catch one. I can't say enough good about it. The rooms were simply gorgeous -- even the basic room that we had! It is by far the most beautiful hotel both in and out. Go for it!!

I really enjoyed the Mirage's pool a lot. Nice hotel too. But Caesar's Palace is my favorite. I enjoy their pool a little more, although it's a bit hokey by the pool with the drink ladies dressed in those cone-head things, but hey, it's Vegas. Caesar's has three pools, and the new tower was fabulous with very large rooms, and equally as large marble bathrooms with separate shower, and large whirlpool tub. We went in July and got a really good rate. In fact, I was just on their web-site 2 nights ago, and the rooms are running at $89 per night just the 4th of July week for 4 days or so, and that's a virtual steal there; but the $89 rate may be for the older tower, which was nice too, but a lot smaller from what I remember. At any rate, I don't think you can go wrong at either of the two properties that I mentioned.

I have to differ with above regarding Aladdin pool area. The regular rooms are pretty nice (I'm sure the resort rooms are much nicer) but the pool area is a big slab of concrete with some tables and trees. A far cry from FS and MB.

We enjoy the gorgeous upper and lower pools at the Flamingo. But any pool in August will be jam packed. 100+ in the shade! Did you know that?
