I'm getting married in Maui in 2005 and I'm having trouble finding the best salon in Maui. Any suggestions of a salon and hairdresser will be welcomed.

I will be in Wailea but I'm pretty sure that most hairdressers are willing to work out of the hotel room for an extra fee.

Rutz Salon is in Kihei. That's where I go. Stephen cuts my hair. He does a fantastic job for color and cutting. I've never had him do an up-do or anything for a special occasion, so not sure how he'd work for you.
The Grand Wailea has a salon that did a French Twist for me when I was part of a wedding and it was done really nicely. There's also a well known (and expensive!) salon called Juvenal Hair Design.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check them out. I was told to call Valerie at Rutz and I spoke with her but she doesn't have any pictures of work that she's done so I'm a bit concerned to 'fly blind' for my wedding day hair. Thanks.
