1. Amherst, MA
2. Malibu, CA
3. Washington, DC

Washington, D.C.! BTW, I think the students should actually have to attend class to consider a town a "college" town. This probably eliminates Gainesville.

I'll second Amherst, the quintessential college town, and propose a toast to the Drake for my important Friday course, Frosh Mores 101.

Charlottesville and Durham should rank high as well.

We haven't wanted to mention it because on the previous thread on EXACTLY THE SAME QUESTION Chapel Hill was thoroughly described and now we have too many people who want to move in.
