Berkeley & SF Vegetarian

Can anyone recommend one or more good vegetarian restaurants in the SF/Berkeley area? Not just a salad bar, but good tofu etc. Many thanks!!!!

Michael's Vegetarian Diner in Berkeley on Telegraph Avenue. I'm a non-vegetarian and I think it's really tasty food. I especially liked their tofu tuna salad.

Have very fond memories from a few years back of a place called Greens, which is on the Marina in SF. Great views and atmosphere and outstanding vegetarian menu. Very interesting "gourmet" food that just happens to omit meat.

This isn't a specific recommendation (sorry), but I can tell you that most restaurants here in Berkeley and in SF have a fair number of vegetarian dishes and they're usually not just afterthoughts either, like just a couple of sauteed veggies. This is especially true of Asian restaurants -- Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Cambodian, Indian, etc. So for good vegetarian food, you don't necessarily have to restrict yourself to vegetarian restaurants.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! I'll report back when I've tried them.
