beer in Hawaii.....?

We're beer drinkers, making first trip to Hawaii in 2 weeks (2 WEEKS!). In KS, one buys 5.0 beer only at "liquor stores", 3.2 is available anywhere; MO sells only 5.0 (everywhere); and in OK they only have 3.2. Hubby fancies himself a "connossiour" (shoot, I've typed it 5 times and it's still not right.....someone help me out!). He's really just a small-town, beer-bellied, good-ole-boy, American-brand-type guy (but cute, very, very cute.....) who's particular about his beer.

What can I tell him about buying beer in Hawaii?

Thanks, Vince, but what I really wanted to know is: does Hawaii sell only 5.0, only 3.2, or both?

I believe Hawaii 50 was a tv show and not a beer. Last time we were there we tried some of the Mai-Tai's and they were very good.

Hawaii does sell both 5.0 and 3.2 beer.

If he truly does appreciate a good beer, he will enjoy the Kona beers. Kona Ale is a favorite.

If he is a beer bellied, beer guzzling, good 0le boy, then it really won't matter what they sell anyway!

Thanks, Pat and Mike - that's what I wanted to know. And thanks also for the tip on Kona beers - will be sure to try them.

To ? @curious: 5.0 and 3.2 just refers to the beer alcohol content. In our part of the country all the (American brands) beer is sold both ways, or just one strength or the other, depending on what the state laws are. My "good ole boy" prefers 5.0.....
