beach walking in Wailea
Hi,
Just returned from a week in Kaanapali. Stayed at the Westin (3rd time) and absolutely loved it.
We are fortunate to be going back in the fall and will be at the Grand Wailea (GW). We did go to Wailea to shop and have lunch, which we did at the GW. One thing that impressed me was how the beaches in Wailea, at least at the GW, lacked the continuity of Kaanapali's beach. Can you "beach walk" in Wailea as you can in Kaanapali. It won't change my mind for the trip, but I was curious. Thanks.
Frank

Gee, I haven't seen to many beaches, just maybe Hawaii 4x's including Kaanapali, Wailea, Kapalua, Waikiki, St. Thomas, the Cayman's, St. John's, Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Aruba, east and west coasts of the USA--naw, not to many beaches.
Hey, if you don't like Kaanapali, stay off of it.
ps, why can't people just answer questions here without being jerks???
Sincerely.
Frank

I know what you mean...you can walk forever on Kaanapali and the beaches in Wailea are much shorter...
Overall I like Wailea better...less crowded and less density...go for a day trip to Kannapali for your walk, but enjoy the upscale luxury of Wailea and the superior resorts and restaurants...GW is not my favorite, but it is an amazing scene to take in...check out the 4S and Kea Lani while you are there...
