Our family of 3 is trying to plan a trip a beach vacation the second week of june-2 adults and 1-3 yr old.We want to rent a cottage or house for 5-7 days and would like to be right on the water.Any suggestions?We have been dealing with absent innkeepers out of Plymouth and have some rates but we would like an outside opinion.

The Outer Banks have great oceanfront homes for rent that are built on stilts. Realtors in the area handle them. Ask for a brochure so that you can see what they look like. Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Ocracoke, Just a few of the names in The Outer Banks.

skip the boring cape and go to hampton beach.

Better look to the mid atlantic and south for early June, north east beaches may be a tad cold if you plan on swimming in the ocean.

Cape is beautiful, Plymouth fun, but Rachel is right-in early June the water will still be pretty chilly in New England- including Hampton Beach (NH)!

Mid- Atlantic/Jersey Shore may be better pick that time of year.
