Beach House Rental areas?
We are looking next summer to rent a 6-7 bedroom house with a pool- last summer my family did Duck and loved it but looking for a new area to explore....any suggestions? Considering Emerald Isle or areas around Charleston, South Carolina. Thank you! Susan

Both Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms are excellent suggestions and take a look at Wild Dunes on IOP.
Sullivans Island is a little closer to Charleston proper but not enough to really make a difference.
South of Charleston and a little more laid back is Folly Beach and it is also a little less expensive than the other two.
Very nice south of Charleston is Kiawah. The Ryder Cup was played on the Ocean Course.

The Brunswick Islands south of Wilmington (Ocen Isle, Oak Island, Holden Beach, Sunset Beach). Much more laid back w/out the resort touches of the some of the other places mentioned. Search Brunswick Island for places to stay. Most rentals are through realty companies. You might also try Seabrook (adjacent to Kiawah).
