Thank you, BayouGal.

Sounds great, especially those 16 cent martinis!

No, Byrd, I don't know how long it will last, but I can make a phone call if you are not local. The reason they are calling this special "no excuses" is because now with this deal, there are no excuses for not coming back to the FQ. Good marketing idea, plus it'll help FQ businesses. That 4 hr parking validation is a great deal, too!

I went to Bayona in 1998 - I think it had just opened. It was great then and glad to know its still around.

This is part of the annual summer specials that NO restaurants have during the off season.

Look at the description and link I pasted below for a list of restaurants (included are favorites Galatoire's, Emeril's, and Bacco's): http://www.COOLinaryneworleans.com

COOLinary New Orleans - A celebration of Dining in America's most Delicious City!
July 1, 2006 - September 30, 2006
Location: New Orleans Restaurants
It is a "natural fit" for a city whose cuisine is so steeped in its fabric, the New Orleans Metropolitan CVB has announced the creation of the city's second Restaurant Celebration. For the event, participating restaurants will offer special three-course lunch menus for $20.06 or less and three-course dinners for $30.06 or less during the months of July, August and September. "This culinary event will become a world-famous celebration of our incredible cuisine," says CVB President and CEO Stephen Perry.

oooooooooo, thanks, mah1980! I am in heaven. I saw the Bayona add in Lagniappe, but I didn't know about the rest of this. God bless you, chil!

BTW, how was that dinner you had at Bayona's?

It was fabulous. Funny story: we went on a Saturday night on my husband's boss's dime. The following Thursday we had clients come in for work so I went to Bayona for dinner on my company's dime. Two free Bayona meals in one week!

You lucky girl!!;-)

DH's company owes us a meal . . . trying to decide where to go. Thinking about waiting for the "new" Commander's. What do YOU think?

Come on down, cher! Laissez les bon temp roulez!! ;-) Personally, I think N.O. is so nice right now with smaller crowds (a cool front would be nice however ) and some great deals can be had.
