Bangor, ME Super 8 Motel?

I'm looking for a clean, inexpensive place for a one night stop-over. Has anyone stayed there?

Yes it's clean, okay just for a sleep..no pool or amenities. '

Best Western White House is better but probably more expensive. Howard Johnson, Bangor Motor Inn and the Ramada are all okay too.

I will second the White House BW. When my Mother moved to Maine we stayed there while waiting for her furniture to come and they were very nice. Took very good care of us and her cat who was also liveing there. Would recommend them

I stayed there this week. Rooms are large and clean. Mechanicals a little run down, but it's cheap...$35 for a single.

Howard Johnson's is another ten bucks or so and is good.

Go to the Sea Dog for dinner and the local brew.

Thanks, gc. That Super 8 won a "Pride of the chain award", but it's still nice to get the okay from people who have stayed there. We normally would pick the Best Western, but it's surprisingly expensive for that night and we just need a clean place to sleep.
