Baltimore Hotels
I am planning a weekend in B-more at the end of April -- what are your recommendations for high-quality hotels? Are there any special deals out there? I've searched the board, and the Harbor Court and Rennaissance seem to come up often -- are they really worth it? Is there any way to get them for less than $260/NIGHT?

Ok, I did your homework for you. Go to biddingfortravel.com and look under hotels. Click on Baltimore and you will find people on Getting this hotel for 65 a night on priceline.com. Here are two winner posts:
Hotel Name: Renaissance Harborplace Hotel
202 East Pratt Street
Baltimore, Maryland 21202
410-547-1200
Zone: Baltimore Inner Harbor
Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM
Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM
Your Offer Price: $65.00
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Nights: 2
Subtotal: $130.00
Taxes: $16.50
Processing Fee: $5.95
Total Lodging Charges: $152.45
$65+$5 bonus was my first bid!!! Of course I wonder..could I go lower? I should have started lower because I had so many free rebids. Oh Well... I'm still happy.
Best rate on Travelweb and Renaissance site was $199 for these nights. I think I got a great deal!
Got this on my first bid of $66 + $5 bonus. Bid Inner Harbor area 4* only. Was surprised to get this hotel on my first bid, but thrilled.
Marriott's website quote is $249 and Expedia $229
Cindy
Do not bid too high, you may get the Hyatt, which is a great hotel also. Here is a post from a winner of the Hyatt:After several unsuccessful bids in the $60's and low $70's (including dropping to 3 star level), I finally struck gold. Priceline confirm included msg stating that I was being upgraded from 3* to 4*.
Expedia and Hyatt website were quoting $270 - $300 for the same date.
Your welcome.

1. I did not bid. If you go to bidding for travel.com you will see what other people bid and won. There are only 2 4 star hotels available and I told you which ones. I just copied and pasted the winning bids for you.
2. You are will get either the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel or the Hyatt. These are the only two 4 star hotels that come up in the area known as Baltimore Inner Harbor. Make sure you click on A. Baltimore B. Innes HArbor area C. 4 star and bid 65 bucks a night.

One more time a copy and paste from bidding for travel website:
BALTIMORE
Baltimore Inner Harbor
4 Star
Renaissance Harborplace
Baltimore Hyatt Regency
3 Star
Baltimore Inner Harbor Wyndham
Baltimore Inner Harbor Radisson
2 Star
Holiday Inn
As long as you bid 4 star and inner harbor you will get one on these two. Expedia has them for 229 and up for the end of April.

Actually, the Harbor Court is a much better hotel (IMO) than either of the two priceline hotels, it is possible that Harbor Court doesn't deal with priceline. Last time I stayed there, I went with booking directly on the Harbor Court's web site, you can check there for specials. www.harborcourt.com. You can also call them directly to see if you can get a better rate. Also Pier 5 is a luxury hotel on the inner harbor - www.thepier5.com - that you might check.
If the priceline hotels are 4 star, these two are 5.
