I know that Bally's and Paris are sister hotels and that Paris is supposed to de the best of the two, but the rates that I have found for during my stay Paris cost at least $50 mre per night. Is it that much nicer of a hotel that it is worth the extra money?

While the Paris is definately nicer, I do not believe it's $50 a night nicer.

Worth upgrading if <$20/nite, otherwise take Bally's, which is still a very nice hotel.

I won't stay at Bally's. Paris is still new enough and sufficiently well done to deserve my extra dollars. But then I'm pickier than most about hotels.
Don, if the $50 is a really big deal, you'll probably be happier at Bally's.

A friend of mine stayed at Paris on her last trip to Las Vegas and told me that she found the staff there to be quite snooty. I, myself, usually stay at Bally's and have always enjoyed it there. I find the rooms to be nice-sized and comfortable. Personally, I would save the money and put it toward a nice dinner or play some extra slots.

I have been to a few hotels in Vegas and have never found any staff to be "snooty".Las Vegas is very tourist friendly and it is hard to find people there that are not helpful.

Paris is worth the extra money. The staff is great, rooms ar spacious, but don't eat there!

I wouldn't say snooty, I would say that the staff at Paris is nasty, not trying to please the guests. I think it is a disgusting hotel, would never stay there again. Stay at Bally's. Better yet, spring for the Venetian. It is gorgeous!

Try the Bellagio if you can afford it, maybe that will meet your high standards.

Paris is worth the extra $$. Also, I have to disagree with an earlier post that said not to eat at Paris. I strongly disagree. We have always had great food at Paris. I recommend you eat there, even if you decide not to stay there!!

We've stayed at both Bally's and Paris. We usually find deals with Paris running only about $10-$20 more per night than Bally's.....but we always try to stay mid week and save lots that way. Both are good hotels with lively casinos and are centrally located on the Strip. Paris is newer and nicer, but Bally's rooms are larger. We found the staff competent in both hotels. (Not overly friendly....but not rude either.) Food wise we loved the little crepe place in Paris for a quick meal at a decent price. Bally's has a good breakfast buffet. If the price difference is minimal then I would pick Paris all day long, but for $50 extra I'm not sure it's worth it. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

Both are nice hotels, Paris being newer and more theme oriented, if that's what your looking for, but personally I would stay at Ballys and use the extra money on a nice dinner or show.

The two hotels are right next to each other. The real question is whether you think a little nicer room is worth the $.
