Bally's or Paris

I am planning a 4 night trip to Las Vegas the end of August. I have found a $59 rate at Bally's and $79 at Paris. Which is the best choice. I am going with my 21 year old daughter and it is our second trip to Vegas. We stayed at the Venetian the first time, but our budget can not stand a repeat stay there. Thanks for the help.

I would choose Paris for $79.00. That is a good deal and Paris is a lovely hotel. However, there was a post recently on this board for a code for the Venetian for $99. Do a search for Venetian and it is under the heading "LUXOR, ALADDIN, MGM?". It is a fairly recent post.

Good luck!

Paris, no question about it. Rooms are considerably smaller than the Venetian but it's very nice; you wont feel like you've cheapend out that much. Bally's on other hand has an old musty feel to it.

I've stayed at both and if hotel room-time is important, then go with Paris (ask for a "p" room - it offers a two directional view); if room-time is less important than cost, go with Bally's (rooms have been improved and are very acceptable). Both are quality hotels and I recall check-in is available at the airport for both.

Bally's is not as bad as some people are saying it is. We stayed there in January in a newly renovated room and it was very nice/clean/non-musty. I was told that nearly the entire hotel had been renovated at that time. We had a nice view of the Bellagio Fountains also. I thought even their casino is much less musty/dingy/smokey than many of the hotels/casinos we went into. Paris/Bally's are connected and I am sure Paris has nice rooms as well. I would save the extra money and stay at Ballys. My husbands philosophy is that you don't spend much time in the room, but I still need something better than super8 and Bally's was perfect. The only complaint I had for Bally's was their food(expensive and not spectaular) but there are lots of other options. I have a couple (somewhat blured) photos of our room at the link below to give you an idea. They didn't seem to have any photos of their rooms on their website when I was looking.

Thanks for the information. I will be staying at Bally's because the deal at Paris has sold out for one of my nights. I feel better about my choice after reading lenleigh's post and really appreciate the pictures of the room. I am most interested in the location of Bally's because I do not like the heat and the casinos I want to visit are within a short walk. I know I shouldn't be visiting Vegas this time of year because of my dislike of the heat, but I have free airfare that will expire before it gets cooler there.

Glad it helped you a little Lindsey! Just make sure you ask the check in agent if you can have a room with a view of the bellagio fountains in a newly renovated room and you will probably be pretty happy with it! Have a great time, wish I was going!

Stay in Ballys North tower and you'll be closer to the pool. Just stayed there last month and the rooms are very nice and updated. And much larger than other hotels in that price range. Bring a sweater because the hallways and casino can get a little chilly.

As others have said, you're connected to Paris so make sure to walk through - there are some great places to sit and eat and don't forget to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower -- it's a GREAT view.

There is also a walkway from Ballys across the street to Bellagio, so make sure to go there too.

Have a great trip!
