Aw Rats! Need Advice re LAX Hotel Post I Read

Staying over at LAX in March and was just checking out recent reviews (not here) of the hotel at which I have reservations. The first post, a very recent one, said his room in the hotel had bedbugs. AAAAAK!! I hesitate to name the hotel here because I don't want to pass on a rumor that may be untrue-- but does anyone have any idea how to follow this up and check if it IS true? Never saw a bedbug, never want to!

Hi ckwald, I have no idea where you have reserved a room or what website you were on that said the hotel had bedbugs but let me tell you a story..

A hotel in SF that I have stayed at since the 1980's and have always enjoyed suddenly had a post about terrible bedbugs on another website. Friends of mine were meeting me for some fun days in SF and we all had reserved rooms at this hotel. So when they read the the post on another website they of course were very concerned and emailed me.

Long story short we did stay at the hotel..and no bedbugs. I think, without knowing, that some person from another hotel posted about the bedbugs.

Now, if there were more than one post from different posters regarding bedbugs yes I would be concerned. But if only one poster..well I would take it with a grain of salt. Having said that I have read that bedbugs can be found in even 5 stars hotels around the world so my thinking is that unless one wants to never travel one does have to take that very small chance about bed bugs. Personally I have never had a problem and no one that I know ever has either so I don't think it is anything to worry about..again if only one poster has said they had bed bugs. Best regards.

Did anyone else note the irony of "Aw Rats!" and a story about bedbugs (must be lack of sleep)--
