AVE Q

Going to Vegas in two weeks and wondered
if anyone has seen this show at the Wynn Hotel

The last I knew it was supposed to close in May. Sales were dismal and although they had anticipated it running for years, it was a financial failure.
I don't know how the production compares to the Broadway version or why the lack of success.

I've seen this production and quite enjoyed it. It's adult, it's got muppets, it pokes good fun at society. It's not sesational, but I thought it was better than overhyped 'O' (and I love Cirque)

It occured to me to mention that the couple we were with didn't stay for the 2nd half, while we very much enjoyed it. I think the video snippets on the Wynn site are very representative of the show.

The concensus is that the show didn't make it in Las Vegas because it just wasn't that city's type of show...no splash and spectacle.
It is indeed a very entertaining show and, from what I heard and read, it was a good replication of the NY hit.

I saw this in NY and absolutely LOVED it. If it's anything like the NY production, be sure to catch it. You'll be way more entertained than you'd expect.
