Any recommendations for fun places to eat before weekday theater in east village (St. Marks church 10th st.) or Soho (Wooster Group)?

Are you planning to have dinner in SoHo or the East Village, then head for a Broadway theater?

No, I think skp22 has explained the two theatres -- St. Marks and the Wooster Group. Looking for restaurants near those, right?

Near Wooster is L'Ecole the restaurant run by the French Culinary Institute.
It's also not far from Balthazar, or if fun and drinks are more important than the food -- Bar 89.

I'm not exactly sure where on 10th St. Marks is, but we found a wonderful little "hole in the wall" which was exactly like a candlelit Parisian left bank bistro -- called Leon on 12th Street just off 1st.
