Atlanta hotel - Marriot Marquis vs Omni vs Hilton

Hello all. We are going to Atlanta mid January for the AmericasMart. We want a hotel convenient to these buildings as we like to go back to the hotel for an hour or so in the afternoon to rest. We don't want to be walking distances in bad weather. I have the option of the Marriott Marquis, Omni at CNN or the Hilton. Can anyone provide a recommendation.
Thank you!

Is the Americasmart held at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart? If so, the ideal location would be the Peachtree Plaza....If it's where I'm thinking it is, do not choose the Omni..I don't think you can walk without going outside for long distances....

The Marquis or Hilton would be hotels you can maneveur thru buildings without having to get out in the weather for very long periods.

All things being somewhat equal in that they are all big impersonal convention hotels, the Marriott Marquis is my first choice. You will not have to exit into any inclement weather as are all connected.

I stayed in the MM this week via Priceline for $85. Of course, you probably won't be able to get Priceline rates during Mart weeks.

I'd choose Marriott or Hilton because of location - and I like both better than the Omni. The M and H are connected via skybridges to Peachtree Center so you can walk to the Food Court and several restaurants without going outside - or just crossing one street outside.

starrsville, did you ever stand in the lobby of the MM and look straight up? That gives me the willies.

Here's a plug for the Omni. Just returned from there and the new tower is gorgeous. The Olympic centennial park is just outside and makes a nice "bridge" to Spring Street and the rest of downtown.

I don't think there is a bridge from the Omni.

Sorry, didn't mean an actual "bridge." Just meant that the park (which has security) nicely ties the CNN Center (Omni) area in with the rest of downtown.
