A friend and I will be at the AmericasMart in Atlanta for the first time July 17 -19 and staying nearby at the Days Inn 300 Spring. We are looking for dinner restaurants that are within walking distance of the hotel. If nothing is nearby then a short cab ride will do. Nothing fancy. No preference on cuisine.

Thanks starrsville. I'll do the search right now. Unfortunately we are there on business and won't have time for the aquariam or any thing else other than the mart. Good thing I love my business!!

Take a cab to AVRA on 5th and Juniper in midtown. Only a few miles away. It's a great new Greek place with great food, modest prices and fantastic service. A nice change from the business lunches too.

Just back from there following a sporting event. Did food courts inside the CNN and Peachtree building, but splurged one night and ate at Ray's in the City on Peachtree. It wasn't cheap, but it was delicious and people were dressed casually.

I'm going to the Gift Show as well but we are staying at the Hotel Indigo which is more midtown. I think this is too late for you but there is a thread here earlier with some good recs.
