Ashrams in Northern California?

My friend would like to go to an Ashram in Northern California.
Any suggestions? Thanks

r5,
I wonder if the one in GeeVee is the one where former NFL football player Ricky Williams hung out during his "vision quest"?

I've actually heard of the Ashram in Grass Valley. I think Budget Travel ran an article a few years back about Ashrams and yoga/ meditation retreats.

Thanks for the fast replies everyone!
LoveItaly, I should have been a little more clear and wrote Spiritual Retreat or as I like to think of it "Yoga Camp". Many of the ones I've heard of have silent retreats- I'm just not good at that!

But I'm sure there are more than a few vegi restaurants by that name.

Hi L84SKY, really, I should have gone onto Google before I asked my stupid question. But, hmmm, wonder if there are any veggie restaurants by that name. I sort of live in a "meat and potato" city. Take care!!

I did get a laugh out of loveitaly's post earlier today and had intended to post that I think besides the already mentioned Ashram in Grass Valley isn't there one in Mt Shasta?
