Does anyone know where I can get A free map of Los Angeles and surrounding areas? Would like to have it before we arrive. (Looking for actual map, not the one from the internet)

I ditto calling the LA CVB http://www.lacvb.com/index.jsp I work at a CVB and we send out maps all the time. Ask them for the most detailed map or maps they can send you. County maps can be great, but it's possible that they have printed up their own which will cover the areas tourists go in detail. If you are going in the next month, ask them to send it first class because if they are doing bulk mailings, you might not get it in time otherwise. They probably also have an area guide or other info they can send you.
