Are you constantly planning the next vacation?

I used to LOVE shopping, buying alot of wasteful junks - handbags, shoes, clothes, accessories. So I thought I was a shopaholic. For the longest time, my only so called vacation was Hong Kong, and that was because Hong Kong is a shopping paradise. Then I realize I have to stop spending money on a place that I've been to many times, rather go to europe or something. My first 'other than hong kong' trip was Paris Thanksgiving 2003-I thought I love shopping so much, a city like Paris would be great for me. I came back from Paris not buying anything significant. There was practically NO SHOPPING done, except the great memories of the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees (designer stores), Arc De Triomphe, etc. Right after I came back from Paris, I was dreaming of going back again (I really don't know why now that I've discovered Hawaii), I even wanted to learn French. But whatever, Summer 2004 changed me completely. I went to Maui and Oahu and fell in love with teh sun. Jan 2005 I went to Italy and it was 'EH'. Nothing compared to Hawaii. I'm going back this August and my friends think I'm crazy to plan 6 months in advance. I agree, 6 months is too long of an anticipation. I'd love to throw in a California or Florida trip in the middle, but I really can't afford it, I know I'll be spending SO MUCH in hawaii.
I never knew there was such a term - travel addict, until i read the first post of this thread, the actions of some ppl - pianogirl, beachgirl, sound exactly like what I do. I'm constantly on expedia, travelocity, starwood, airline websites, just looking for a good deal. and when i find one, I get SO HAPPY. but i'm still a novice at this, so I haven't really found a HOT deal. Not like that time when ppl found an AA glitch and bought tickets to hawaii for under $150. That was SUCH AN ENVY.

I come from a long list of women travel planners. I hate to say not all are travel addicts because of the men they married. Thankfully, my BF is the complete opposite. I won't play the "Globe Game" with him anymore because he has traveled the world for work many times and until him, I could only pick out states and Mexico (does Tijuana even count?!).
So, I am very excited to be planning Prague, Vienna & Budapest for September. Have already booked a house and baseball tickets for a family trip to Florida in July. Planning a girls trip to Chicago (and another baseball game) for sometime this year. Just found out about 2 weddings in Argentina this summer that may get put on the schedule. And just "talking" so far about Spring 06 trip to the Galapagos Islands.
Good thing I asked for that extra week of vacation when taking this job!
I now only travel with a couple of friends for "girls trips" because the others didn't like my Excel spreadsheet 5-day trip to NYC a few years ago. We saw more in those 5 days than a guy on the plane who had been living there for YEARS!
