The rates I was quoted for a weekend at the end of January were 152 per night (including continental breakfast) at the Hampton Inn-Chelsea Grand. I stopped by the Chelsea Savoy, and they quoted $148. (no breakfast) I didn't see the rooms there, because friends have stayed there and told me they are functional - small, clean and plain. The two hotels are two blocks apart, and they really are like clean motels in a city environment.
Also - the Hotel Mansfield is quoting a rate for the same time period of $205 for a deluxe one bedroom queen suite. They are rleatively small - but sleep 4 comfortably. As we were thinking of booking 2 rooms - The Mansfield is a better deal for us - even though the other hotels are closer to my apartment.
Oh 2 more things - The Chelsea Grand is pet friendly (is that good or bad?)
And Sandybrit - I'm female!
